On June 20, an officer was dispatched to the No. 1 China restaurant to look into a report of a possible burglary. The owner of a business next door to the restaurant had found the glass in the front door broken. The officer entered the restaurant and found the cash register partially open and a cabinet behind the register was ajar. An investigator arrived to process the scene. When the restaurant owner arrived, he found the only item missing to be a cell phone. The following day, June 21, the owner reported two boxes of shrimp were missing from the freezer.

On June 24, an officer responded to a report of theft. A Statham resident reported an ongoing problem with items being stolen from inside her home, including an iPad, an HP brand computer, a laptop computer, a cell phone and a small lawn mower.
