'Sexual Relations' Fail to Resolve Food Issues

Woman says she just wants man to leave her food alone.

A Winder man admitted his attempt to resolve the issues he was having with another woman may not worked as well as he had hoped.

The woman called the Barrow County Sheriff's Office on Aug. 28 to report that her daughter's boyfriend had been eating the food she received with food stamps. According to the woman, she confronted the man about eating her food and "he pretended not to listen to her and walked away."

The woman said the man has lived with her and her daughter at their Elks Street home for about a month and that he too receives food stamps.

"All she wanted was for him to leave her food alone," the deputy wrote in the report.

The deputy went outside to speak with the man and informed him that he did not need to be eating food that wasn't his. The man explained he was under the impression the food in the house was for anyone who lived there.

"He said that sometimes [the woman] is nice to him and other times she is not," the deputy noted. "He also explained that he had 'sexual relations' with her last week in order to try and fix the issues they were having. He said it did not fix the problem."

Before leaving, the deputy reiterated the need to stay away from other people's belongings.
