On Oct. 19, 2011, an officer with the was dispatched to 43 N. Jackson St. in reference a report of a burglary.

Upon arrival, the officer met with the business owner of the , who said sometime during the night someone entered the business. The front door lock had been removed when the business owner arrived.

About $300 was reported missing from the cash register, as well as an Apple Macbook. The business owner could not identify any suspects.

On Oct. 23, 2011, an officer responded to an alarm at at 138 W. Athens St., Suite D.

Upon arrival, the officer observed a missing lock cylinder on the front door that indicated forced entry. A second officer arrived on scene and the pair cleared the business, finding a rear door unlocked but no apparent damage inside.

When an officer checked the adjacent business, , he found the same forced entry to that front door. The officers cleared the business and found no apparent damage but it appeared someone had rifled through paperwork on the front counter.

After the officer had cleared the second business, the owners of Trinity Salon and Spa arrived.

Three drawers behind the counter were found forced open and the cash drawer with approximately $50 in coins was missing.

The officers were unable to make contact with an owner of the nail salon and stayed on scene until door locks were repaired.

On Oct. 24, 2011, an officer responded to in reference to a reported burglary.

The officer met with the complainant, who said sometime between 6:10 p.m. Oct. 22 and 10 a.m. Oct. 24 someone entered the business and took less than $100 in cash kept in a drawer behind the front counter. Entry was made through the front door by removing the outside portion of the lock and unlocking the door.

No other items appeared to be missing.
