Police Say Suspected Burglars Hid Loot in Wooded Area

Three of four suspects possibly connected to a residential burglary have been arrested.

A report of four suspicious subjects walking through residential yards in the 200 block of Griffith St. in Winder early Monday, July 22, resulted in three arrests.

About 1:30 a.m., officers with the Winder Police Department located a female on the porch of a vacant house in the area. The female matched a description given to police by a complainant. While questioning the female, a search of the immediate area around the house was conducted and electronic items were found in a nearby wooded area. Police later determined a storage room at a separate residence nearby had been entered and approximately $1,200 worth of electronics and other miscellaneous items had been stolen.

Additional investigation led to three male suspects who were possibly involved in the burglary and who also matched descriptions given by the original complainants.

Arrested were Hannah Nicole Bondie-Richards, 19, who was charged with loitering and prowling, party to the crime of burglary and theft by taking; William Lee Mooney, 28, charged with burglary and theft by taking; and Bradley Wingo, 21, also charged with burglary and theft by taking.

Police were searching Tuesday for a fourth suspect, 22-year-old Brian Bondie.
