A total of 21 guns and various kinds of ammunition were taken during the burglary.

An Atlanta man is in custody after being charged in connection with an Aug. 25 burglary at a Winder pawn shop.

Robert Jonathan Young, 21, has been charged with one count of burglary, one count of second-degree criminal damage, one count of theft by receiving, 21 counts of theft by taking and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. According to a press release from the Winder Police Department, Young was taken into custody last week by the Atlanta Police Department on unrelated charges and is currently being held in the Fulton County Jail.

Winder police have obtained warrants against a second man, Demarius Dansey, 22, for one count of burglary, one count of second-degree criminal damage, one count of theft by receiving and 21 counts of theft by taking. Dansey remains at large. His last known address is in the Atlanta area. Anyone with information regarding Dansey's whereabouts is asked to contact the Winder Police Department at 770-867-2156 or the Atlanta Police Department at 404-614-6544.

Charges were brought against the two men after the Winder Police Department, with the assistance of the Atlanta Police Department and the ATF, searched two residences in the Atlanta area based on information and evidence obtained during the investigation. The search uncovered evidence linking Young and Dansey to the pawn shop burglary.

The burglary remains under active investigation. The ATF is assisting.
