Meet Sparky the Fire Dog, Touch a Truck and More During Fire Prevention Day

The event will be held on Oct. 12 at the Winder Fire Department.

The Winder Fire Department will host its third annual Fire Prevention Day event on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

During the event, which will be held at the Winder Fire Station located at 190 North Broad Street in Winder, participants will have the opportunity to meet Sparky the Fire Dog. Other activities include a "Touch a Truck" opportunity, a fire safety house, fire prevention classes and more.

Children who attend will receive a fire prevention coloring book, fire prevention literature and stickers. Children will also receive a free hot dog.
