Man Reports Being Threatened with Pistol after Asking for Directions

The reported incident occurred at the Barrow County Health Department.

A Winder resident called police May 6 to report being threatened with a pistol after asking a stranger for directions. 

The reported incident occurred about 3:30 p.m. at the , and the complainant told an officer with the that he had asked an unknown white male for directions. The complainant said the stranger then pulled a pistol out of his holster and responded, "No I don't have directions."

The complainant then said he left the health department to call police. When an officer arrived, the suspect had departed.

Thugs are also known to say hello and ask how you are doing before robbing you.Another perfectly reasonable reason to pull a gun on someone....just in case.

I agree with Dan P. I carry all the time. If some shady character approaches me I'm going to do the same thing. Thats what guns are for and it shouldn't be a crime to pull a gun on some one to get them off of you if you fee threatened or uncomfortable if they come up to you.

If you feel so threatened by someone asking directions that you need to show them your pistol, you are really petty and insecure. I hope having your gun compensates for what you are obviously lacking!
