Never pass up an opportunity for a sale.
This is apparently one Windstream employee's mantra, as the representative attempted to sell services to a deputy with the while being questions regarding a report of a suspicious person.
About 7:50 p.m. June 15, a deputy was dispatched to a Moonlight Trace residence in Winder. Central communications advised a male was going door to door selling Windstream and Dish Network bundles.
Upon arrival, the deputy located a male wearing a Windstream polo shirt walking toward a residence. When the deputy approached the man, he was wearing a Windstream work ID badge that had his photo on it and carried several flyers for Windstream Merge in his cargo pocket.
"After I confirmed he was a Windstream employee he handed me a flyer and attempted to sell me a Windstream and Dish Network bundle," the deputy wrote in an incident report.
No details were included in the incident report on whether the deputy is considering purchasing the services.
