Jamie Hood Wants New Attorneys and to be Transferred from the Barrow County Detention Center

During a preliminary hearing, Hood asked for new representation and to be moved from the Barrow County Detention Center, where he has been held for several months.

Ex-con Jamie Hood, accused of Athens Clarke County Police Officer Buddy Christian, wants a new attorney.

Appearing before Clarke County Superior Court Judge Lawton Stephens Thursday, Oct. 27, Hood demanded new representation, according to the Athens Banner Herald. He also wants to be moved from the Barrow County Detention Center, where he has been held for several months.

Hood is also accused of the Decmeber killing of Kenneth Omari Wray, who worked for the ACC Department of Transportation and Public Works.

In court Oct. 27, a video made by CBS Atlanta shows Hood saying he wants to hire a private attorney, exhibiting behavior that seems erratic at best. He to law enforcement after a four day manhunt through the county.
