Hoschton Man Reports Someone Stole 2 Guns From His SUV

A Hoschton man said someone stole two handguns from his SUV parked in the garage.

Missing are a Colt Defender 90 45ACP, and North American Stainless Steel 22 Cal pocket revolver. Total value of the theft was $900, according to a Barrow County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

The man told the deputy the thefts happened between 1:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on March 21. The man said he noticed the entry door to the garage was open when he went to take the trash out. No family members said they left the door open overnight, he said.

Immediately realizing he keeps two guns in his Ford Explorer, he checked the vehicle. The guns and two holsters were gone.

The deputy didn’t notice signs of forced entry. He lifted one fingerprint off a handle on the SUV.

The man called the deputy a short time later and said he found an ice pick and razor blade that weren’t his.

The deputy returned to retrieve the items. Fingerprints were later taken from those items and given to an investigator.
