Firefighters Find House 'Fully Involved' in Flames

The late night fire destroyed the Statham, Ga. home.

The Barrow County Fire Investigations Team is working to determine the cause of a late night  Sept. 2 fire that destroyed a home on Booth Road.

A neighbor called 911 just after 11 p.m. on Monday to report the fire.

“Upon arrival of firefighters, we found the home fully involved in flames,” Lt. Scott Dakin said in a released statement. "The firefighters had to fight the fire from outside the home due to the amount of fire."

The Statham home was completely destroyed and two adults displaced, Dakin added.
