False Name Doesn't Fool Statham Officer

A suspect who used an alias when an officer asked his name was arrested Sept. 21 for outstanding warrants.

A Statham resident attempted to give a city police officer an alias but chose a name he had used when he was previously arrested.

The officer had observed a purple Oldsmobile Cutlass parked in the rear lot at on Sept. 21. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer found a man asleep inside.

After waking the man up, the officer asked his name, at which time the suspect gave an alias he had used the last time the officer arrested him.

Chacka Denard Bolton, aka Tony Mayweather, of 1678 Doc McLocklin, Statham, was arrested for four outstanding warrants out of Barrow County.
