Dog Bites and Beer Drinkers: Just Another Day at the Local Supermarket

Here are some of the stranger Northeast Georgia police stories from the past week.

Nothing on TV? Head on down to a Barrow County supermarket, where there's always something interesting going on.

At the in Winder, a man agreed to hold a chihuahua for another customer who said he was going in to claim a winning lottery ticket. Police were called after the man reported the and cut his upper lip.

The same day at the Winder , a man was charged with public intoxication after outside the store. He'd been sitting with another man and woman at an outdoor table.

Other unusual arrests:

  • Police in the Hamilton Mill area of Dacula after he rolled up his window and locked his doors during a traffic stop and repeatedly refused to cooperate.
  • An Oconee County deputy's Taser apparently misfired, and by the weapon when the deputy fired it.
  • A dad after he caught her with marjiuana and she refused to answer his questions about it. The girl was charged with possession.
