Black & Milds, Rolling Papers, Lighters Stolen From Store Counter in Separate Thefts

Inside the Police Reports: Hmm, wonder what they were up to.

A Bethlehem convenience store owner saw two separate thefts after she reviewed her surveillance video.

She also recognized both thieves.

Jessy Thomas, of Grayson, owner of the BP station on Christmas Avenue in Bethlehem, said she noticed some merchandise missing on March 6 so she reviewed the camera system.

She saw two separate crimes, according to a Barrow Sheriff’s Office incident report.

The first theft happened March 5 at 8:40 p.m. when a female was seen taking a box of “Black & Mild” cigarettes and four packs of rolling papers from the counter next to the cash register.

The second theft occurred March 5 at 9:52 p.m., when a man allegedly stole four lighters, also from the counter.

In both cases, she recognized the suspected thieves because they were regular customers.

The owner was advised to call the sheriff’s office if the suspects return.
