The following individuals were arrested and booked into the Barrow County Detention Center from Dec. 3 through 6, 2012.

  • Miguel Angel Altamirano, 31, 399 Carl Bethlehem Road, Bethlehem, charged with expired or no driver’s license (second offense)
  • Bronwyn Elaine Barnett, 48, 335 Oxford Way, Winder, charged with obstruction or hindering law enforcement and probation violation
  • Travis Lee Brown, 20, 121 Southwood Drive, Jasper, charged with driving while license suspended or revoked
  • Tonya Lynn Cook, 40, 4480 Bullock Bridge Road, Loganville, charged with failure to appear
  • William Roger Coughlin, 22, 155 Quail Valley Road, Apt. B, Auburn, charged with marijuana — possess less than 1 ounce and possession and use of drug-related objects
  • Kimberly Lacole Elliott, 25, 230 Wood Ave., Apt. B, Winder, charged with probation violation
  • Cheryl Lynn Ellison, 42, 5411 New Castle St., Gainesville, charged with expired or no driver’s license
  • Willie Stancil Etheridge, 37, 813 Lodgeview Drive, Winder, charged with 29 counts sexual exploitation of children (felony)
  • Christopher Stephen Gentilello, 39, 403 Jasmine Drive, Winder, charged with battery (family violence, no contact bond) and two counts cruelty to children — allow child to witness felony/battery/family violence
  • Richard Donald Haney, 56, 404 Carl Bethlehem Road, Bethlehem, charged with DUI — alcohol, possession of open alcohol container and willful obstruction of law enforcement officers
  • Mark Egerton Hardy, 29, 471 Pendergrass Road, Winder, charged with two counts probation violation, battery (family violence, first offense) and willful obstruction of law enforcement officers
  • Jeffery Allen Harvey, 21, 101 King St., Winder, charged with disorderly conduct
  • Johnny Lee Hinton, 55, 135 Martha St., Winder, charged with disorderly conduct
  • Ryan Lester Hooper, 28, 124 Jefferson Road, Statham, charged with driving while license suspended or revoked and window, windshield or wiper violation
  • Adam Jacob Hudson, 27, 4685 Countryside Drive, Flowery Branch, charged with two counts probation violation
  • Brian Lee Hughes, 43, 1365 Etheridge Drive, Auburn, charged with probation violation
  • Brandon Wayne Johnson, 23, 104 Mears St., Winder, charged with driving while license suspended or revoked and tag light required
  • Joe Wayne Martin, 61, 2307 Crimson King Drive, Braselton, hold for Cook County Sheriff’s Office
  • Brian Keith McCormack, 40, 2066 Kinridge Court, Marietta, charged with probation violation
  • Douglas Lawrence Neville, 36, 583 Winston Manor Court, Winder, charged with probation violation
  • Demitrie Keith Palm, 46, 313 Shenandoah Circle, Winder, charged with deposit account fraud/bad checks $499 or less
  • Amanda Marie Rambo, 25, 510 Shenandoah Lane, Winder, charged with failure to appear
  • James Mitchell Robinson, 53, P.O. Box 912, Jefferson, hold for Walton County
  • Jeffrey Lynn Smith, 51, 821 Alexis Way, Winder, charged with aggravated stalking
  • John Lewis Thomas, 80, 1662 Doc McLocklin Road, Statham, charged with simple battery and criminal trespass
  • Vaner Valentin Verdugo-Mejia, 22, 368 Mobile Drive, Winder, charged with driving without a valid license and failure to obey signs or control devices
  • Tracy L. Wild, 43, 154 Azalea Drive, Winder, charged with deposit account fraud/bad checks $499 or less

I grew up in a Winder where doors were not locked and the town was full of folks shopping! SometimesRead More a moonshiner would get caught or the parking meter would run out of time and one would get a parking ticket by one of the three cops in town! Now I keep a weapon handy because of voices and footsteps on the pavement at night! Where are these people coming from and going to after one o'clock in the morning? Why does it take so long for a policeman to show up after a call is made,if they show up at all? I've watched nice homes on my street turn into dumps. They are rented by owners who are only interested in the money and not the quality of people who are renting. Yeah, I keep a weapon and it's loaded for a thief or prowler! When seconds count a cop is only several minutes away,if at all!
