UPDATE: The Barrow County Sheriff's Office has advised the missing elderly woman has been found safe and unharmed. There were no signs of criminal activity associated with the incident. The BCSO thanks residents for their concern. According to the BCSO Facebook page, Mrs. Griggs was located in Dekalb County at a convenience store and has also been reunited with her family.

The is asking for help locating a missing elderly female.
Elizabeth Faye Griggs, 80, was seen between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. in Pickens County on Tuesday, June 26. She was traveling home to her residence in Auburn that date and may have become lost or confused.
Barrow County investigators have since learned Griggs was seen in Roswell in the early morning hours today, Wednesday, June 27, at a local pharmacy asking for directions. Officials are investigating leads and coordinating with other agencies in attempts to locate Mrs. Griggs.
Griggs is driving a tan 2000 Toyota Camry, tag number 567 TSS. There is a large dent in the driver’s side rear quarter panel. There are no indications of foul play at this time. The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office is coordinating with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to release a “Mattie’s Call” to assist in the search of Mrs. Griggs.
Griggs was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with a bird design, aqua or teal colored pants, dark colored shoes and a hairband. Griggs wears eyeglasses. She is described as a white female, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds, with blue eyes.
