News Agencies Report Suspect in Double Shooting is Alive
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution and 11 Alive News are reporting the suspect in a double shooting in Barrow County was shot but not killed, as police had told reporters earlier today.
The suspect in a double shooting that occurred in Barrow County is alive, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and 11 Alive News reports.
The man, identified by the media outlet as 29-year-old Shuaib Omar, was in "bad shape" at Gwinnett Medical Center.
The man was originally reported by police as having killed himself. Police later indicated that they had given news agencies incorrect information, and that while the suspect had shot himself, he was still alive, 11 Alive News reports.
