Apartment Raid Results in Meth Trafficking Charges for Auburn Man

Barrow County Sheriff's Office reportedly found 41 grams of meth.

An Auburn man is in the Barrow County jail after a Friday raid determined he was trafficking in methamphetamine.

Charles Amos Pugh, 31, also was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a gun by a convicted felon and possession of a gun during the commission of a felony. Pugh was in the county jail without bond Tuesday night, according to jail records.

The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office incident report said the department’s Crime Task Force and SWAT teams, and the Auburn Police Department executed a search warrant at a Parks Mill Road apartment at 7:45 a.m. on March 7.

The search found a 9mm handgun, less than an ounce of marijuana and “a large quantity of methamphetamine,” according to the incident report.

Online Athens reported 41 grams of meth was found; the charge of trafficking occurs when someone has more than 28.

Also at the apartment during the raid was Rosa Maria Ramirez, 34, who was charged with marijuana possession.
