Hailey Rochelle Gill was a social worker with Barrow County Department of Children and Family Services for four years before she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.

A woman who dedicated her career to helping local children escape terrible situations died Saturday, May 28, from complications involving a rare form of cancer. 

Hailey Rochelle Gill of Jefferson was a social worker with for four years before she was diagnosed with peripheral nerve sheath sarcoma, a rare cancer of the connective tissue that surrounds the nerves, in 2008.
