Charles Pinckney Reed, 70, of Auburn, a beloved husband of Ellen Worley Reed, died suddenly Sept. 28, 2011.
He leaves behind a daughter, Duffy G. Reed, a grandson, Julian, brother Angus Reed and his wife Nancy.

Mr. Reed was a born again believer and member of Union Grove Baptist Church. He was a volunteer in the Republican Party, also with MARR, an alcohol and drug recovery program, and Sober is Great, an AA program at Peachtree Presbyterian Church, and cooked for the Agape weekend twice yearly.
A celebration of Mr. Reed's life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at Union Grove Baptist, 4080 Fence Road in Auburn, with a celebration luncheon immediately following in the church fellowship hall.
