Letter to the Editor in supporting Nicole Tobias for Winder City Council

Thank you to the retired Chief of Winder PD, Stanley Rodgers, for also writing a Letter to the Editor in support of my candidacy for City Council!

I can't begin to tell you how thankful I am to know and work with Chief Rodgers. I have the utmost respect for him and an so thankful he is supporting me in this race and challenging me to do my best work.

In case you haven't see it, his Letter to the Editor is below:

To the editor and citizens of winder:

We have an interesting race for the Winder City Counsel “At Large” position. It has been quite a while since we have had three Winder citizens running for the same position. Finally the citizens have a real chance to decide and vote on what is important to them. Do you want everything to stay the same or do you want a city that is advancing and willing to help ALL citizens? There is a candidate running that truly cares more about the City of Winder, than many of the residents that have lived here all of their lives.

Winder has a candidate running who cares about all the issues. She has new ideas for the city and has not been involved in the traditional politics that has brought us to the point of all the slow moving traffic and very few businesses left in the heart of the city. The good old system of politics has abandoned historic Winder in favor of running a golf course and supporting all the new businesses along SR 316.

I have had several opportunities to work with Nicole Tobias and find that she is a hard working no nonsense and caring citizen of Winder. She works tirelessly within her community and she always has time for anyone in need. When she encounters a new situation, she educates herself about the issue to find the best solution.

When someone makes a suggestion to her she listens intently making sure she hears what they have to say. As a woman she will add diversity to the council that hadn’t existed since the 70’s.

Please remember to vote and cast your vote for Nicole Tobias and allow her the chance to help each citizen see how Winder can grow as the “City of Opportunity” and not just a city that is living in the era of “days gone by.”
