UFO's sighted near Winder?

This just in from a story I heard while getting my hair cut at a Winder salon today. (We all know breaking news first breaks in the beauty shop…)

The salon owner got a call from a friend last night (1/15/14) – the friend is a well-known, widely liked, clearly down to earth (no pun intended) woman is the last person in Winder who seems to be the type to tell a UFO story. But a UFO story is exactly what she told.

Around 8:30 p.m. she arrived home (a property off Hog Mtn. Rd, near Winder.) Her son was in the car with her and she let him out to get the mail. At 8:34 p.m. she looked up and saw a line of lights, some red, some orange, some white, hovering in front of the car. The colored lights were flashing, the white ones not. The object about the size of an 18-wheeler and made no noise at all.

She called her son back into the car and asked him if he saw it, too. He did. She tried to get a movie of the object with her phone. The movie wouldn’t take – not even the flashing lights would show up.

She then called her sister-in-law, who lives on a nearby property, still off Hog Mtn. Rd., and her sister-in-law described an identical object that was hovering over her house. The sister-in-law’s daughter was home, also saw the object and was so scared she started to cry.

A few minutes later both objects disappeared into the night – no noise, no clear outlined shape.

The woman called the Barrow County Sheriff to ask if there was some National Guard test or something going on that night. He told her he wasn’t aware of anything, but he wasn’t always informed of such things.

Back at the salon, today, staff and clients had been searching for reports of the incident on line. ufostalker.com had the following reported sightings, all on the evening of 1/15 and all in our immediate area:   

7:16 p.m. – Athens, GA - from my upstairs window I observed 6 to 8 pulsating red lights moving in a SE to SW Line formation at about 500+ knots

8:30 p.m. – Dacula, GA - Large light formation that resembled nothing that could be explained traveling accross the sky with unusual unfamiliar characteristics.

8:15  p.m. – Lawrenceville, GA - white and red horizontal lights in the sky on a cloudless clear night .

Sightings were also reported in Rutledge, GA.

Further away these similar sightings were reported:

8:25 p.m. – Griffin, GA - Two extremely large aircraft with blinking lights, Definitely NOT airplanes.

12 a.m. – Farmerville, AL - 8-10 bright red objects whith larger white object in the middle aletrnating becon type lights with the red objects traveling in a straight line

10:05 – Birmingham, AL - Large Dark Mass framed by lights or escorted/hauled by aircraft

And, the day before (1/14) at 9:35 a.m. right here in Winder, GA, N. Broad St. - Unreal movement (whatever that is.)

There you have it, a real live UFO story from right here in Barrow County…reliable sources, 2 objects seen by 4 people…you make the call. ;)
