Pets of the Week: Find a New Furry Friend through Leftover Pets

This local animal rescue organization was founded in 2005.

Established in 2005 and based in Braselton, is a licensed animal shelter facility and also operate low-cost spay and neuter clinics.

The majority of the animals in Leftover Pets' foster program were rescued from high euthanasia shelters — those with 80 percent or more kill rates.

In 2010, the organization provided 2,678 spay and neuter surgeries and adopted out 71 cats and 22 dogs.

Leftover Pets has an online adoption application that asks for general information about your family, lifestyle and current pets. Adoption fees are $100 for dogs and $85 for cats and pay for veterinary costs and include spay and neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming and microchipping.
