Jug Tavern Festival Kicks Off This Evening in Winder and Continues Saturday
The event will include arts and crafts and food vendors, a car and tractor show, hay rides around town and a barbecue cook-off.
Beginning at 5 p.m. today, the city of Winder will kick off a celebration of barbecue, music and more with the Jug Tavern Festival.
The event will include arts and crafts and food vendors, a car and tractor show, hay rides around town and a barbecue cook-off. This evening's live entertainment features music from the band Pop Roxx from 5 to 6 p.m., Joe Hall and the Bottom Line Band from 6:30 to 7:30 and Bill Gentry from 8 to 10.
New to the 2012 festival is the HOG Ride, sponsored by AMVETS. Proceeds will benefit the Shop with a Cop Christmas program and the Empty Stocking Fund. The Barrow County Museum is also celebrating the festival and will be open extended hours during the event. Click here for details.
