Panama Red Supported by The Lonely Trio

San Francisco had Country Joe and the Fish. England had Jethro Tull and The Incredible String Band. The South had Bethlehem Asylum.

From Bethlehem Asylum steps up a man identified as Panama Red (aka Danny Finley). Noted for his giant hat and his flamin' red hair, Panama is now traveling cross country on the Eat Your Vegetables tour.

A guitarist of major import, and a songwriter of the first degree, Panama has a long and grizzled musical history, encompassing many types and styles of music in his songs, from Zydeco to Blues to Country to Folk and Jazz. Although he is rooted in solid rock, he moves nimbly and adeptly from song to style as his performance delights audiences across America.

We are fortunate to have Panama Red grace the 106 West stage on Saturday, October 13th. He'll be playing his original songs and guitar compositions for our listening, discerning and open-minded audience. We look forward to having such an illustrious musician lend his voice and guitar to us for the fun of a rich and rhythmic evening that runs the gamut of song. Panama Red links:

Supporting Panama Red will be The Lonely Trio. After a groundbreaking performance at Brookstock (The Byway Farms Fall Fling) they are ready to show our renditions of songs by Will Knox, Deborah McColl, Sarah Tollerson and Mike Willis, as well as brand-new songs by our Carly Baker.  The Lonely Trio consists of Carly, vocals and guitar, Chad Clark, fretless bass, and Thom Tollerson on lead guitar and backing vocals.

Anyone who enjoys the sound of a fretted instrument, well played in many styles and methods, and with great beauty and creativity, with a vocal attack both gravel-y and smooth, who's music sounds like a combination of Chet Atkins, Doc Watson, Robert Zimmerman and Dave Van Ronk, should be sure to BE THERE by 7:30 Saturday the 13th of October to see and hear Panama Red, for a most excellent time.

Don't forget our fabulous Antigua Coffee, Organic Green Tea, YooHoo's, Hot Chocolates, snacks and soft drinks that will cost you next to nothing to enjoy.

Tickets are $10 at the door.  Come on down and buckle up your safety goggles for a fantastic musical adventure. We'll see you here!
