Barrow Business Woman of the Year Luncheon

The Barrow County Chamber of Commerce announced this week that BB Webb, owner of the Carl House in Auburn, has been selected as the Businesswoman of the Year for 2012.


The announcement was made by Annette Bates, chairwoman for the Women in Business Committee for the chamber. Webb was selected from 10 nominees.


The Barrow Regional Medical Center Women’s Pavilion will host a luncheon to honor Webb at 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 13 at the Carl House located at 1176 Atlanta Highway.

The fee is $25 to register for the luncheon or a table sponsorship at $300. The guest speaker for the banquet is Auburn Mayor Linda Blechinger.


The committee selected Webb from the slate of nominations that included Debbie Burgamy, Barrow County News; Mayor Linda Blechinger, Auburn; Lynn Graham, owner Principal’s Pallet, Laurie Healan, YMCA; Lisa Maloof, Dean at Lanier Technical College Winder Campus; Sherrie Miller, owner Ann’s Florist; Lee Perkins, owner Constance Manor; Sherri Perry, Title One Family Engagement specialist for Barrow County schools; and Michelle Yawn, executive director Winder Housing Authority.

Webb has a varied background, including author, speaker and talk show host. Earlier this year, she was selected as one of 10 Top Female Leaders in North Atlanta. For information about the luncheon, please call the Barrow Chamber of Commcerce at  (770) 867-9444.
