Thanksgiving and Forgiveness
"Don't go into the holidays with a bee in your bonnet." Be clear of mind and strong in spirit, and take the time to be truly thankful!
As we approach Thanksgiving, many of us are surrounded by family and friends. Some of these people have been around us our whole lives; others have enlightened us with new friendship and love.
Even among those that we cherish, there may also be someone that you have allowed circumstances and frustrations to disrupt the flow of your relationship. It may have been something small, or maybe you've been hurt deeply. This Thanksgiving, take the time to forgive.
You don't necessarily have to confront that person to forgive, you may simply need to do this in your own heart and mind. Holding a grudge stirs up emotions that can bring us down and often bring on physical ailments that could have been prevented by maintaining a healthy mindset. As a dear friend used to say, "Don't go into the holidays with a bee in your bonnet." Be clear of mind and strong in spirit, and take the time to be truly thankful!
