Advance Voting Continues, Early Turnout Low

Advance voting for the Nov. 5 election is now underway and will continue through Nov. 1.

Advance voting is well underway, but turnout so far has been low.

According to the Barrow Journal, only 101 people cast ballots during the first week of advance voting.

Three of Barrow County's cities have contested races this year: Winder, Bethlehem and Auburn. In Winder, candidates Lorin Sinn-Clark and Nicole Tobias have challenged incumbent Bob Dixon. Bob Vogel, Donna Scouten, William Acworth, Harold Money and Jay Riemenschneider are seeking council seats in Auburn and Joe Price and C.L. Wood are running for post 3 in Bethlehem.
