Woman Dressed As Mime Attacks UGA Coed — Athens Patch

A campus-bound University of Georgia student, walking along Broad Street, was attacked by a woman dressed as a mime last week. The attacker, Stephanie Walker, 37, of Hawthorne Avenue, wore all black and had her face painted white, according to a story in the Athens Banner Herald.

A man from Oglethorpe County who was driving by stopped Walker from beating the 20-year-old student, the story says. He then chased and caught Walker, holding her until two probation officers in the area came to help.

 — Douglasville Patch

A Cobb County grand jury has indicted a former sheriff's deputy from Douglasville on charges of rape, sexual assault against persons in custody, violation of oath by public officer, and other charges.

In a warrant, Cobb authorities alleged that 51-year-old Alvin Blake Sutherland made physical contact with an unnamed female inmate at the Cobb jail on Jan. 11.

He was fired from his job and arrested Jan. 18.

New Spa to Open at Site of Murder-Suicide That Left Five Dead — Norcross Patch

Another Korean spa is moving into the old Su Jung Health Sauna location off Buford Highway, the same Norcross site where five people died in a murder-suicide last year.

After more than a year of being an empty storefront, the 6005 Buford Hwy. building will now hold Gangnam Sauna, which plans to open either in late March or early April.

Principal Accused of Bullying Resigns — Cascade Patch

B.E.S.T Academy High School's principal, Boris Hurst, has officially resigned his post after allegations of bullying teachers into cheating, reports the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Boris Hurst had been the B.E.S.T academy principal since it first opened in 2010, but after complaints began to come in from teachers, he was removed from the school and put on leave in March 2012.
