Winder’s Jug Tavern Festival and BBQ Cook-off: The Entertainment

Performers hail from the surrounding areas playing music that ranges from blues and folk to rock and pop.

Here's the entertainment schedule for this weekend's Jug Tavern Festival in Winder.

Musical performances will be on the Trax Side Stage.

Friday, Sept. 9

  • 5 to 6 p.m. — Jeremy Wells hailing from Jefferson and performing under an alternative, blues, folk and rock banner
  • 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. — Double Clutch and the Downshifters, a band from northeast Georgia playing country classic rock and ’80s classics

Saturday, Sept. 10

  • 10 to 11 a.m. — Young America, an alternative country band from Dacula
  • 11 a.m. to noon — Veronika Jackson, a performer with acoustic folk influences
  • 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. — Jug Tavern Square Dancers
  • 2 to 3 p.m. — Catherine Kimbro, a Lawrenceville native playing self-penned, acoustic country music
  • 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. — Hard Labor Creek, a band that calls itself a mash up of folk, blues, alternative rock and more folk
  • 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. — 7 Day Fool, a five-piece blues, rock and soul band from Atlanta
  • 8 to 10 p.m. — Brother Pudge, a self-described southern fried rock and roll party band playing a mix of rock, country, pop, blues and alternative music both classic and contemporary
  • 9:30 p.m. — Fireworks, weather permitting

The will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, extended hours for those attending the Jug Tavern Festival. Admission to the museum is free.
