Will Ghosts Check Out of the Old Granite Hotel?

The Barrow Journal shares ghost stories associated with the 112-year-old structure being demolished in downtown Winder.


According to a longtime, local paranormal investigator, granite is a known magnet for ghosts — and the reports the Old Granite Hotel in downtown Winder has its share of ghost stories.

Crews could be seen Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, working to demolish a portion of the Old Granite Hotel. Demolition of the 112-year-old structure began Feb. 3, 2012, and is expected to take a total of five to six weeks.
