Tripp Halstead to Benefit from Nonprofit Organization's 'Biggest and Most Extensive' Home Makeover

Sunshine on a Ranney Day will reveal the makeover in July.

Come mid-July, a toddler injured at his Winder day care center when a tree limb hit him in the head last fall will have a home that accommodates his special needs.

The Halstead family has relocated from Barrow County to Jefferson, where, on July 13, a nonprofit organization that creates dream room makeovers for children with long-term illnesses in the metro Atlanta area will unveil its "biggest and most extensive home makeover to date."

According to a news release, through generous donations, company sponsors, a design team and volunteers, Sunshine on a Ranney Day is completing a total home makeover for the Halstead family. Improvements include widened doorways, wood floors, a chair lift, a newly-designed kitchen, a therapy room, a wheel chair ramp and a new deck, as well as other improvements. The Halsteads will see the interior of the home for the first time July 13 since handing over the keys to Sunshine on a Ranney Day in March.
