Statham Police Department Accepting Bids on Submachine Gun

The is accepting bids on a Smith & Wesson Model 76 9mm Submachine Gun.

Bids will be accepting in writing via e-mail and fax only through July 24.

The sale must be completed through a licensed Federal Firearms Dealer and must be in compliance with applicable federal and state firearms laws.

Buyers must be able to pass any background checks that may be required.

Those interested in viewing the weapon may do so by requesting an appointment in writing. Appointments will be scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 18 through 22 only.
