Sept. 12, 1979: Dried Up

Residents living on Mount Moriah Road in Auburn had watched their wells dry up in the waning days of summer in 1979. A proposed 5,000-foot water line was planned to address the problem. County commissioners were seeking approval of $35,165 emergency grant from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources to fund the extension.
