Railroad Crossing at Horton Street in Winder Closed
Work at Barrow County railroad crossings continue.
The latest Barrow County railroad crossing to be closed for maintenance is the Horton Street crossing in Winder.
The Barrow Journal reports contractors for CSX closed the crossing this morning.
Winder Police Chief Dennis Dorsey told the newspaper his staff has placed warning signs on adjacent streets.

“We’re using signs this morning, because that is such a short road,” he said. “We are monitoring the situation, and if traffic gets to be an issue, we will put people out there.”
