Pets of the Week: Two Female Spaniel Mixes Need Forever Homes

Find the next furry member of your family here.

Two spaniel mixes are awaiting their forever homes at Barrow County Animal Control. Read the descriptions to see if one of these pets is right for your family.

  • A tan and white, female, spaniel mix, about  3 to 4 years old. She weighs in at 47 pounds. She came in with two puppies and both have been adopted though, she's still here. "She is an absolute sweetheart," animal control staffer Kimberly Perez said. She was found and brought in by a resident, so animal control has no background information on her.
  • Susie is a tan and black, female, spaniel mix, about 2 to 3 years old. She weighs in at 24 pounds. "She's very friendly, but can be nippy," Perez said. "Some people take this the wrong way, when in reality she's a sweetie. Susie is an owner surrender.

The adoption fee for all cats and dogs is $100. The fee includes spay or neuter, a physical exam, a fecal exam, de-worming, a rabies vaccine, a distemper/parvo vaccine and micro-chipping.

For more information on these or other pets, call the shelter at 770-307-3012. Shelter hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
