Patch Whiz Kid of the Week: Makala Dawn Bauers

• Name, age: Makala Dawn Bauers, 5 
• School: Holsenbeck Elementary
• Accomplishments: Makala loves to sing and dance. Performing is what she does best! "She is my drama queen" her mother, Jessica Bauers, said. Makala has the attitude of a teenager. She never backs down from anything and if she doesn't agree with someone she is sure to let you know, her mother said. Makala has played soccer for the YMCA. She is very helpful when asked to help around the house. "She is definitely one of a kind," her mom said.
• Key to awesomeness: When asked "Why are you so awesome?" Makala's first answer was, "I'm not awesome, I'm beautiful!" Her second answer was, "I'm awesome because I'm Bay-Bay!" Bay-Bay is Makala's nickname.
