Demolition of Old Granite Hotel Continues

Demolition of the 112-year-old structure began Feb. 3, 2012, and is estimated to take a total of five to six weeks.


A downtown Winder landmark is being slowly taken apart.

Crews could be seen Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, working to demolish a portion of the Old Granite Hotel at the intersection of Broad Street and West Athens Street.
