New Design, New Features on Barrow Patch

Welcome to the new Barrow Patch! We’re really pleased with the new design and we think you’ll like it, too.

Now our news looks better, is easier to comment on, and is easier to share. And right below the news on the homepage you’ll see blogs, where we can showcase more town voices and get a view of what’s happening beyond the news. Plus, we’ve made it easier to start a blog yourself -- any time, about anything.

And speaking of reader voices, the freshest thing you’ll find on the new Patch are our Boards. The Boards are where you can post Announcements about anything you want -- lost cats and dogs, school plays, wedding announcements, police or fire activity and more.

We’ve set up specific topic boards as well:

• The Opinion Board is where readers can speak their minds, whether it's about a topic we're covering or even ones we're not.
• The Buy/Sell/Trade Board is a great place to tell everyone about garage and yard sales or to see if anyone is looking for a good deal on a used dining room set that’s taking up too much space in your basement.
• The Business Updates Board is a dedicated spot for business owners to post news about sales, specials, openings and closings.

Want Patch news on the go? The new Patch app will launch soon, but in the meantime you won’t be able to access the old version. However, you can still get important community updates on our desktop site and your mobile phone. Just simply type the url [barrow.patch.com] in the address bar on your computer or your mobile web browser to get all the local news and information you need.
