State and local law enforcement agents have taken drug offenders off Barrow streets. Twenty-nine suspects were arrested in a large-scale roundup May 10 that involved more than 40 law enforcement agents.
The Barrow County Sheriff's Office released mugshots of 27 individuals arrested and charged with drug offenses during a recent operation.
More than 1,200 residents of Barrow County came out to Winder-Barrow Stadium to help raise money to find a cure for cancer May 13. The 2011 Relay for Life started at 7 p.m. Friday and lasted until Saturday morning, with 56 teams continuously walking the track at the stadium.
