June 1, 1934: Free Pair of Hose

A store housed in the Peoples Bank building was offering customers who purchased two pair of full-fashioned sheer silk chiffon hose at $.95 each a third pair of hose free on this date in 1934. The Vogue’s offer also entitled shoppers to purchase any dark hat in the shop for $1. The regular price was $2.95. The store had also just received a new shipment of white, linen hats priced between $.75 and $1.95.
