Grocery Store Employee: Customer Wanted a Kiss

An employee at Publix in Winder filed a report with the Winder Police Department after a customer said he wanted to kiss her.

An employee of the Winder store told police she was taking a customer’s groceries out to his vehicle on Dec. 9, 2011, when the man said he wanted to kiss her.

The employee said the man asked how old she was and whether she had a boyfriend before asking her to help him with something in his car.

The employee told the responding Winder police officer she handed the man his grocery bag and quickly returned to the store. She said the man did not try to grab her, touch her inappropriately or make sexual comments.

The employee provided police with a vehicle tag number and make and model and was instructed to call 911 should the man return to the store.

In a separate incident, the Winder Police Department issued a warning residents of a suspicious male approaching women.
