The county is hiring a part-time customer service associate and a legal associate.

Job title: Customer service associate II, part time 
Employer: Gwinnett County government 
Job description:

  • Provides direct, in-person, customer service regarding department issues to include processing or completing work orders, processing applications, payments, customer billings and investigating complaints.
  • Reviews and researches accounts, which may include accessing tax records, and notifies individuals of outstanding issues or balances.
  • Coordinates services delivered through third party contracts to customers.
  • Updates and prepares reports and distributes to appropriate personnel.
  • Creates, updates and maintains accounts and records of billing, processes payments and permits to include balancing monies.
  • Trains other staff members on calculating and processing adjustments and the required paperwork, procedures and associated processes.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years of customer service experience to include one year of service in call center environment
  • Valid driver's license from state of residency

Job title: Legal associate II
Employer:Gwinnett County government
Job description:

  • May serve as a lead to staff to include assigning and monitoring work and providing direction.
  • Provides direct administrative support to two or more staff attorneys.
  • Prepares and reviews various legal documents including pleadings, agendas, contracts and subpoenas.
  • Provides assistance to individuals by phone and in person.
  • Maintains schedules, coordinates meetings, depositions and court reporters, contacts witnesses and sets appointments for attorneys in the department.
  • Maintains various legal files, records, complex logs and reports.
  • Performs various other clerical duties for the legal department to include taking meeting minutes, conducting light research and preparing cases for trial.
