Job description: Responsible for answering both emergency and non-emergency calls for service and dispatching police, fire and emergency medical units
Qualifications: Two years of experience in a fast-paced business customer service or telecommunications environment, a high school diploma or GED, above average alpha numeric data entry (kph 4500)/PC and transcription skills and ability to complete a comprehensive background investigation, including criminal, driving, controlled substance, credit and employment history checks

Job title: Business services associate II — Gwinnett County Police Department 
Job description: Responsible for performing fiscal support activities related to processing higher-level fiscal documents requiring knowledge and experience in the area of assignment. Duties may include reconciling all procurement card charges on a continuous basis, initiating travel card requests, reviewing and authorizing the per diem for meal and travel allowances, receives, codes, processing and maintaining a variety of purchasing requests, payment requests, invoices, accounts receivables and other related documents, among other duties.
Qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D. and three years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience

I grew up in a Winder where doors were not locked and the town was full of folks shopping! SometimesRead More a moonshiner would get caught or the parking meter would run out of time and one would get a parking ticket by one of the three cops in town! Now I keep a weapon handy because of voices and footsteps on the pavement at night! Where are these people coming from and going to after one o'clock in the morning? Why does it take so long for a policeman to show up after a call is made,if they show up at all? I've watched nice homes on my street turn into dumps. They are rented by owners who are only interested in the money and not the quality of people who are renting. Yeah, I keep a weapon and it's loaded for a thief or prowler! When seconds count a cop is only several minutes away,if at all!
