Job title: Administrative support associate II — Corrections
Job description: Responsible for performing a wide variety of administrative and clerical support duties.
Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or GED, two years of administrative support or related office experience, preferably within a law enforcement environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicants must pass a comprehensive background investigation, including criminal, credit, controlled substance, driving and employment history checks to determine if applicants meet existing eligibility requirements for this position.

Job title: Mailroom associate
Job description: Responsible for processing incoming and outbound mail and packages from a postal service and county departments by means of mail service machinery and automated tracking software system. Provides daily mail courier services to and from county offices and the U.S. Postal Service.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license. Six months of mail room experience is preferred, as well as courier experience and intermediate computer skills.

Job title: Maintenance technician I or II
Job description:

  • Level I: This is the first level in the maintenance technician series.  Incumbents are being trained on the job for heavy equipment operation and repair of public works infrastructure. 
  • Level II: This is a broad classification in which incumbents are responsible for operating heavy equipment in the repair and maintenance of public works infrastructure and assisting in training new employees.

Qualifications: 

  • Level I:· Completion of coursework through the eighth grade, with GED or high school diploma preferred. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and a Class A CDL must be obtained within six months.
  • Level II: Completion of coursework up through the eighth grade with GED or high school diploma preferred. One year related public works/maintenance experience. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and Class A commercial driver’s License. A road flagging certificate must be obtained within three months.
