Daily Dose for Job Seekers: Area Restaurant Hiring for Two Locations

A Friends Sports Grill is opening in Suwanee and jobs are also available at the Dacula location.

Friends Sports Grill is hiring for two locations, its current restaurant in Dacula and a planned location in Suwanee set to open in March.

"We are hiring for all positions in Suwanee," owner Ray Stanjevich wrote in an e-mail to Patch. "That includes managers, servers, bartenders, hosts, cooks and dishwashers. Experience is necessary for some positions, but not all. Restaurant experience is preferred, but retail experience is also acceptable, as well as other forms of customer service experience. We offer full time as well part time jobs, and scheduling is flexible."

The Suwanee location is expected to employ about 40 people upon opening.

Opportunities for part-time servers, bartenders and cooks are available at the Dacula location at 752 Dacula Road, and applications for those positions will be accepted in person daily from 2 to 4 p.m. Anyone interested in employment with the Suwanee location can also apply in Dacula during those hours.

I grew up in a Winder where doors were not locked and the town was full of folks shopping! SometimesRead More a moonshiner would get caught or the parking meter would run out of time and one would get a parking ticket by one of the three cops in town! Now I keep a weapon handy because of voices and footsteps on the pavement at night! Where are these people coming from and going to after one o'clock in the morning? Why does it take so long for a policeman to show up after a call is made,if they show up at all? I've watched nice homes on my street turn into dumps. They are rented by owners who are only interested in the money and not the quality of people who are renting. Yeah, I keep a weapon and it's loaded for a thief or prowler! When seconds count a cop is only several minutes away,if at all!
