City Spotlight on Winder: Get Ready to Get Lazy

After months of planning, Winder's Lazy Daze Music Festival is happening Saturday.

After months of planning, Winder’s Lazy Daze Music Festival is almost here.

Head downtown tomorrow morning — Saturday, July 16 — to spend a not-so-lazy day of summer at this family-friendly outdoor summer event spotlighting talented artists from around the state of Georgia, tasty bites from local vendors and fun for all ages.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and will include inflatables and activities for the kids, an arts and crafts market, open mic performances presented by from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Taste of Winder from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the Great American Rock and Roll Revival showcasing musical favorites from the '50s, '60s and '70s throughout the evening. The festival will take place in the grassy area next to the , and the Taste of Winder (a ticketed event) will be held inside the center.
