City Spotlight on Winder: A City Council Hard at Work

Regardless of the items on the agenda from one meeting to the next, the Winder City Council works diligently to adhere to its strategic mission and core values.

Next week will be a busy one for Winder City Council.

On Monday, Aug. 1, the council will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the for its monthly work session, and again at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, for the monthly council meeting.

Regardless of the items on the agenda from one meeting to the next, the Winder City Council works diligently to adhere to its strategic mission and core values. As outlined on the city of Winder's website, the city government’s strategic mission is “to provide reliable, responsive, quality service to enhance the safety, livability and prosperity of our community.”

Core values include commitments to excellence, quality and improvements, as well as a deep and abiding dedication to mutual respect and teamwork to achieve objectives set forth by the council as a whole. As always, council meetings are open to the public and serve as an excellent way to witness your city council hard at work for the benefit of the city and its residents.
