City Spotlight on Statham: Wishes 'Granted'

The latest news from Statham City Hall.

The city of Statham has announced the city recently received two grants — both from the Georgia Department of Transportation.

Awarded in the amount of $300,000, the first grant will cover infrastructure improvements including the incorporation of new sidewalks in historic downtown near the train depot.

The second grant — totaling $100,000 — is slated as a “Safe Routes to School” grant for the integration of flashing lights at school crossings and additional sidewalks.
