City Spotlight on Statham: Park Your Caboose at Railroad Street This Saturday

Statham to hold farmers' market and community yard sale this weekend.

Calling all treasure hunters and pie aficionados.

Railroad Street in the heart of Statham will be the place to be this Saturday thanks to a combination of two regularly scheduled, community favorite events.

On Saturday, July 16, the city of Statham plays host to another installment of the Statham Farmers' Market with the special theme of “Blue Ribbon Pies” featuring locally grown produce, baked goods, crafts and live entertainment. In addition, residents are welcome to bring their tables, chairs and items to sell for the bi-monthly community yard sale (held the first and third Saturday of each month).

For questions relating to the yard sale portion of the event, please call Sheila Keheley at 706-207-4848. The sale runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the farmers market is open from 8 to 11 a.m. Whether you choose to sell your own wares or peruse the offerings at your neighbors’ tables, the day holds the promise of food, fun and fellowship in downtown Statham.

Check back every Thursday for a new City Spotlight on Statham.
